    could not run model

Hi! I'm Robert Canto from the Philippines. I'm a new user of DIVA. I have two problems which i could not figure out using the manual and help function of DIVA.

    Problem 1:

when i tried to run the model using the recalculate open cases, i get an prompt with the following message

'C:\Program' is not recongnized as an internal or external command, operable program or batchfile

i think the model has failed to run because when i checked the results, the temporal trends for all the scenarios i created are the same

    **************************************
    Problem 2:

i can create a new case and save them but when i reopen DIVA, all the cases which i created are gone.

how do I save new cases?

    *********************************

If anyone has any idea on these, please reply to my post. Thank you very much.

    Cheers,

    Robert

    Re: could not run model

    Hi Robert,

This message sounds familiar to me. Can it be that you installed the DIVA system somewhere in c:\program files?

If so, you may want to try installing in say d:\diva. Then it should work.

I think problem 2 is related to problem 1. So try again after installing in d:\diva

    Kind regards,

    Poul

    Re: could not run model

Hi this is Nicola, I'm  a new user.

I have been having a few problems with simple things like creating or copying new cases and such.
I am not sure I understand your message. Do you mean to say that the DIVA application must be installed inside a CD to be able to work?   so, if I install it in the C drive is not going to work?

    Thank you very much

    Nicola

    Re: could not run model

I believe the DIVA model does not work properly when installed in a directory where the path contains blank spaces, try installing in C:\Diva, and make sure you have the permissions to install programs, log on using administrator account...
