Hi,
I am using DIVA to assess the impact of sea level rise on Canada's coasts. I am having trouble finding information on how land is valued in DIVA? The documentation that accompanies DIVA states that dry land loss value is based on agricultural land value and unmanaged lands are valued at half of that. Is there somewhere I can find the exact figures used and is it possible to change land value in DIVA? Is land valued at the country, administrative unit or coastline segment level?
My concern is that land in the arctic is being valued at the same rate (or even half the rate) of agricultural land and this may significantly affect adaptation strategies.
Thank you in advance,
